Call to Action: Boycott Retailer's Affiliated with the Christian Values Network

Boycott includes Target, Home Depot, Dell Computer, HP, Staples

San Francisco, CA: The Christian Values Network (CVN) is an online shopping program that donates a percentage of online purchases to Christian charities and organizations, including the Family Research Council and Focus on the Family, two organizations that are decidely un-Christian. Both groups spread misinformation and lies, about reparative therapy, and LGBT issues. The Family Research Council is an organization that the Southern Poverty Law Center brands as a hate group. Focus on the Family claim that being gay is an "evil lie of Satan," among other lies and innuendo they like to perpetrate.
Over the last 3 weeks Microsoft, Macy’s, Apple, Delta Airlines, REI, Wells Fargo, and BBC America pulled their stores from CVN, after pressure from the LGBT community.
Ben Crowther, a 20 year old college student in Bellingham, Washington gathered over 22,000 signatures online at, to petition Apple to remove itself from the network. gathered over 13,000 petition signatures to remove the Itunes store from CVN.
If these retail operations do not pull their stores from CVN, I will start organizing pickets and protests for brick and mortar store locations over Labor Day weekend. This is no joking matter. Shopping at these stores supports hate! These hate groups spread disinformation and lies, allegedly in the name of Christianity. Only if we make these retailers feel the heat with a loss of business, will they hear us loud and clear.
I am calling for a nationwide boycott. Please spread this story, and let people know about this travesty. What is very disappointing is that these major retailers didn’t vet the CVN fully. Most of these retail stores have LGBT employees. If you are employed by a retailer on this list, let management know how you feel about their inclusion in the CVN shopping network.

NOTE: It was brought to my attention that Focus on the Family is not categorized as a "hate" group by SPLC, they are an anti-gay group. I apologize for characterizing them as such, and changed my post to reflect that. In my opinion, Focus on the Family IS a hate group, and in the future, I will continue to characterize them as such.
If you are interested in joining this campaign - please contact me.
The boycott begins today! Here is a link to the complete list of retail stores.
This is a partial list of retail stores that are still a part of the network.
