Rutgers Kicks SEC Ass 35-26

Fayetteville, Arkansas — The Rutgers Scarlet Knights (4-0) defeated the Arkansas Razorbacks (1-3) on Saturday 35-26. Playing in front of 72,543 hostile fans at Razorback Stadium, the Rutgers football team proved they are for real.

Veteran sportswriter and RU Alumnus Tom Luicci reports:
It came as almost no surprise to anyone that Saturday night’s Rutgers-Arkansas game was essentially won by the dazzling play of the star quarterback.
Except it wasn’t Tyler Wilson, first-team all-SEC a year ago and a future NFL first-round pick. This one was won by star-in-the-making Gary Nova.

The Rutgers sophomore turned in the best game of his career — and the third-best passing performance in school history — as the Scarlet Knights won a shootout with Arkansas, 35-26, before a crowd of 72,543 at Razorback Stadium.
I’m immensely proud of the Scarlet Knights, and am looking forward to their game against UConn in 2 weeks.

According to Yahoo Sports:
Rutgers trailed 10-0 early before rallying to take a 28-13 lead. Nova then staved off a late Arkansas comeback with a 60-yard touchdown pass to Mark Harrison.

''In the end, it was a win the Rutgers' way,'' Coach Kyle Flood said. ''Toughness, momentum swings, the ability to fight through adversity and big plays in the kicking game. The bye comes at a good time for us; we need to get healthy here. A win we're very proud of.''
Upstream Red Team! Red Team Upstream! RAH! RAH! Rutgers RAH!
