Trump Family Feud Revealed In Cousin's 2016 Christmas Letter

The Grumps Dump On Donald - Twins Ronald and Ronni Grump rip on their cousin Donald Trump - Donald Trump's first cousins Ronald Grump and Ronni Grump

by Roy Steele

In a Jive in the [415]  exclusive, we were sent a copy of the Grump (Trump) Family’s Christmas Letter. Wow. It’s significant because Ronald and Ronni Grump are identical twins, and the first cousins of President-Elect Donald Trump. In the letter Ronni Grump dumps on cousin Donald Trump and tells family stories out of school.

We were able to reach Ronni Grump by telephone from her prefabricated two family house in Suffern, New York. This is a transcript of our brief conversation.
ROY: Hello Miss Grump. Happy Holidays!
RONNI GRUMP: Who is this? Are you from the Enquirer? I told you I like the Star.
ROY: No Miss Grump. I’m not from the Enquirer. I write for a blog online.
RONNI GRUMP: It’s too cold to hang laundry on the clothes line. Do you like pussy [unintelligible mumbling].
ROY: Like pussy what?
ROY: I’m afraid I’m very allergic. Umm.
ROY: I'm allergic to pussy kitties Miss Grump. I think they’re lovely from afar.
ROY: No I write for a blog. I want to talk with you about your cousin Donald Trump.
RONNI GRUMP: Pussy Boots can’t talk right now.
Miss Ronni Grump hung up on me. After multiple attempts to reach her again I gave up. The Christmas letter is self explanatory and  is worth exploring for both the gossip and family photographs.

7 Post-Election Facts That Every American Needs To Know

seven irrefutable post-election facts that every american needs to know. Has white text on a black background with a photograph of hillary clinton in the lower left corner, two american flags in the center, and a photograph of donald trump in the lower right hand corner.

by Roy Steele

With the electoral college set to meet on December 19, 2016, there are FACTS that many people, including the president-elect, refuse to acknowledge. Telling the truth and establishing facts are a moral imperative, and we must hold our leaders accountable for their statements and actions. Donald Trump’s campaign was a fact-free zone, while Hillary Clinton was a victim of years of anti-Clinton GOP propaganda and untruths, plus the Russian hacking scandal.

While we know that life goes on, there are seven indisputable post-election facts that every American needs to know.

  • Hillary Clinton leads Donald Trump in the popular vote by 2.844 million votes today, and her lead continues to increase and is approaching 3 million votes, while each state completes their official certifications and the vote tallies are finalized.

  • There is NO factual evidence that Hillary Clinton is corrupt or crooked, or was corrupt or crooked. There have been over twenty federal investigations of the Clinton’s, and they have all turned up NOTHING, which is why the characterization is wrong. After seven separate Congressional investigations of Hillary Clinton and Benghazi, all led by Republicans, the consensus was that that there was no wrongdoing. After the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) conducted a year long investigation into the use of a home email server, they questioned the judgement of the Secretary, and that’s NOT criminal. They concluded that she did NOT mishandle any classified information. Ever.

  • Hillary Clinton is the most experienced and eminently qualified candidate to run for president in modern history.
Hillary Clinton’s credentials, experience and qualifications were unassailable and unmatched by any other candidate. She was educated at Wellesley College and Yale Law School. She worked for the House Judiciary Committee during Watergate, and then was employed as an attorney by the Children’s Defense Fund. Hillary practiced law in Arkansas, and was the state’s First Lady. When her husband was elected President she was the First Lady of the United States for eight years, and was elected twice as the U.S. Senator from New York. Finally, she was President Obama’s chief diplomat and Secretary of State for four years.
  • Donald Trump did NOT win in a massive landslide. A victory is considered a landslide when an overwhelming majority of voters vote for one candidate in an election. In 1984, incumbent Republican President Ronald Reagan captured sixty percent of the popular vote, and swept forty nine of fifty states, for a resounding win in the electoral college. That’s a landslide.

  • Donald Trump LOST the nationwide popular vote becoming the fifth US president in history to lose the popular vote and win the electoral college.

  • the popular vote totals for hillary clinton and donald trump in the presidential election 2016

  • Donald Trump EKED out a slim THREE state victory in the electoral college, and that’s how he won.  (77K votes separate Clinton and Trump in these three states).

  • Donald Trump leads Hillary Clinton by 77 thousand votes in Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin.

  • The electoral college convenes and votes on December 19, 2016. We cannot assume that Donald Trump will take the oath of office on January 20, 2017, until the electors meet and vote, and he receives more than 270 electoral votes to win. Our founding fathers created the electoral college so that electors could vote their conscience. If the people voted for a candidate that the electors feel is unfit or unqualified to serve, they are free to vote for someone else. If 37 electors currently committed to Donald Trump change their vote, and Trump’s total is 269, he will NOT be the next president. If 38 electors switch their vote to Hillary Clinton, she will be our next president, when she reaches the 270 votes required. If neither candidate reaches 270, the election will be decided in the U.S. House of Representatives. Harvard Law professor Larry Lessig claims that 30 electors are ready to switch their vote today. Stay Tuned! It's going to be a bumpy ride.

The electoral vote totals for Hillary Clinton (232) and Donald Trump (306) in the presidential election 2016.

I Went From Being A Hillary Hating Homo To Loving The Bitch

The True Confessions Of A Gay Hillary Clinton Supporter

by Roy Steele

I must confess that twenty five years ago I was a Hillary hating homo gay man.

Today I love the bitch. Big league. And I’m still gutted about her loss. Bigly!

This isn’t a twisted tale of misogyny. You already know that calling Hillary Clinton a ‘bitch’ is a term of endearment in the gay community. For this blog post I’m dropping the serious veneer for a moment and I’m writing from the heart. For you to understand and appreciate how my feelings have evolved over the years, it’s important to know the backstory.

I'm A Sore Loser And My Quadrennial Losing Streak Is Back

by Roy Steele

Voting in a presidential election is like participating in a super bowl to me. Waiting for the polls to close and watching the returns on election night is a time-honored November tradition that I’ve observed (save for when I lived in England) since I was a little kid growing up in New Jersey.

Politics and elections are in my blood, and I’ve had a front-row seat to contests at every level. I’ve witnessed nail biters, uncontested routs, landslides and bitter defeats. I've worked for candidates to be elected, and campaigned to defeat many others. The 2016 presidential election was no different.

Twitter: My Election Day 2016 Thoughts In Tweets

The entrance to San Francisco's City Hall on election day November 8, 2016 by Roy Steele

by Roy Steele

My social network of choice is Twitter. I've automated posting my tweets to Facebook (so they're automatically posted to my Facebook account). I largely like the discourse on Twitter, in spite of the attacks from anonymous trolls (and I'm frequently targeted due to my outspoken nature). Twitter is unique because anyone, whether it's a person or a brand, has the potential for a tweet to be shared, liked and retweeted, which could have an impact and reach thousands of people. I also think it's a very good thing that Twitter is completely transparent. If only Twitter required all of their users to identify themselves, it would be perfect.

On Tuesday afternoon I walked over to San Francisco’s City Hall to turn in my vote by mail ballot in person. With half a million registered voters in San Francisco, and seventy percent turnout, there was a steady stream of people turning in their vote by mail ballots.

RNC 2016: Anti Gay Platform At Odds With Gay Friendly Speech

2016 Republican National Convention in Cleveland, Ohio at the Quicken Loans Arena and the closing night red white and blue balloons drop.

The 2016 Republican National Convention wrapped up their proceedings last night reminding us that the GOP is still the party of wealthy old white men. Seven out of nine speakers on Thursday night were millionaires and billionaires, including gay Silicon Valley billionaire Peter Thiel.

by Roy Steele

Cleveland, Ohio --- After three days of chaos and disunity in Cleveland, the Republican Party wrapped up their quadrennial gathering last night with an acceptance speech by their nominee for President and the requisite balloon drop. The majority of delegates at the Quicken Loans Arena were ready to cheer, dance and have a party.

There was little talk about Melania Trump’s plagiarized speech, and just a few whispers about Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) being booed off the stage, with just a passing mention of the missing host state governor John Kasich (R-OH). The GOP candidate for Vice President, governor Mike Pence (R-IN), was largely a wall ornament during the festive proceedings.

Election 2016 Video: It Makes No Sense But Trump Picks Pence

Trump for president campaign logos. The Friday logo (left) and the Saturday logo (right)

A bumbling and stumbling Donald Trump campaign chose a boring homophobic midwestern governor as his running mate. During the announcement in a New York midtown hotel, Trump rambled on about himself and almost forgot the reason why the press was assembled there.

by Roy Steele

History won’t be kind to Donald Trump. Under normal circumstances, with a credible candidate for president, rolling out the announcement of a running mate is usually a finely choreographed affair. Watching today’s press event confirmed that the Trump campaign is understaffed and overwhelmed, and everything about the announcement of his running mate seemed amateurish and unprofessional.

Last year the state of Indiana was in the news for all the wrong reasons. A Republican state legislator quietly introduced a Religious Freedom Restoration Act (RFRA) bill that was adopted in both houses of the legislature in March of 2015, one month before oral arguments would be heard by the Supreme Court in the landmark gay marriage case (Obergefell v. Hodges et al.), where they ruled that marriage is a fundamental right for all Americans.

For The Last 8 Years Gay People Were Rammed Down Their Throats

“You get another four years, another eight years, of this progressivism, of this infatuation with Islam, and caving to all things Islam, of the LGBT community rammed down our throats, rammed down the throats of the churches, and that’s going to intensify a thousand times more with a Hillary Clinton administration.”

By Roy Steele

Some people are so sensitive. Especially about religion and politics. They feel that our gay Kenyan born Muslim President has forced Sharia law and Islamic values into our culture, and that he rammed the sinful behavior of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) heretics down their throats and in their face. Many evangelicals think that electing Donald Trump is their only hope to maintain a caucasian Christian society, because Hillary Clinton will force the entire country to become ‘Godless.’

There's one evangelical purveyor of doom that occupies a very special place in my big gay heart, solely because she’s terrified of gay people. I’ve missed her silly remarks, and the rambling incoherent thoughts and outrageous conspiracy theories. This former member of Congress has never been able to pronounce ‘United States’ properly. She says ‘Unina’ States and still wouldn't know a fact if her life depended on it. Some things never change.

Republican Party Platform 2016: Gay People Need Not Apply

The Republican National Convention Platform Committee 2016 with the text "No Gays" and "Queers Not Allowed" and "LGBT people go home"

Meeting in Cleveland, the Republican Party Platform Committee was asked by a gay member of the committee, even if you oppose gay marriage "CAN YOU NOT AT THE VERY LEAST STAND UP FOR OUR RIGHT NOT TO BE KILLED?" The Republicans thought about it and said NO - they can’t condemn anyone who murders or executes LGBT people. And Donald Trump said he would look out for gay people. Right. And I'm the fairy godmother.

by Roy Steele

Cleveland, Ohio --- Republicans continue to be obsessed with denigrating and debasing lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) Americans, and their bigotry was on full display in the midwest this week. I’m not sure when we became subhuman creatures from the deep, but that’s how they view the LGBT community and that’s how they treat us. They want to roll back any and all progress we’ve made related to civil rights and marriage equality, and their wanton disregard for the Constitution and the law is both remarkable and disgusting.

GOP Culture War Continues Attacks On LGBT People And Gay Marriage

A gravestone that is etched with 'R.I.P. Republican Party 1854 - 2016'

The Republican Party alienates women, immigrants, people of color, and lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender people, which is not a smart move if you want to win elections. The latest salvo in the culture war comes from Wisconsin.

In 2011, Alex Rowlson wrote a story for a Canadian LGBT publication called Fab, that was critical of gay men for expressing a bias within the context of searching for a sex partner or life partner or a ‘friend with benefits.’ The article was entitled Not just a preference - Alex Rowlson goes head-to-head with the troubling terminology of our desires. Alex wrote:

Speaker Ryan Has Gay Latino And Black Blood On His Hands

House Speaker Paul Ryan (R-WI) has gay latino and African-American blood on his hands.

The Republican old white men running Congress refuse to act on gun violence or gun control because they don’t care about gay, black or brown people.

by Roy Steele

Like many of my lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) friends and contemporaries, I grew up at a time that was marked by loss and tragedy. The AIDS pandemic at the end of the last century was marked by great personal loss which was devastating for our community, and the death and dying touched us all.

Homophobia, ignorance, fear, misinformation, and anti-gay hate, allowed politicians and government officials to ignore the public health crisis and look the other way. If there was a “gay cancer” claiming the lives of our dear friends, they didn’t care because they didn’t feel the loss. Senators stood on the floor of the U.S. Senate and said we deserved to die because of our “immoral lifestyle.” They said we brought this deadly disease on ourselves, and falsely claimed it was God’s retribution for our sins.

In the week after the Orlando massacre, I had the television on and was startled to hear Donald Trump shouting LGBT during a speech he was struggling with. He isn’t used to saying LGBT, and his remarks were insincere. He even managed to mangle the simple acronym. I guess we can add the gay community to the list of groups he is pandering to.

San Francisco, California --- The San Francisco Bay Area and Silicon Valley is full of mythic figures that arrived here with a dream, and against all odds, created groundbreaking products and innovative companies that are synonymous with what we call the ‘American dream.’

The Birth Of Silicon Valley + Technology = Wealth

Silicon Valley's history began in a garage at the end of a Palo Alto driveway in 1938, when Dave Packard and Bill Hewlett built an audio oscillator. In the same tradition thirty-eight years later and 5 miles south in Los Altos, Steve Wozniak and Steve Jobs and Ronald Wayne set up shop in the Jobs family garage, where they founded Apple, Inc.

From Google to Intel to eBay and Uber, these prominent Bay Area multinational technology companies have become ubiquitous around the world, because of their superior products and dominance in the marketplace.

The Anti-Gay Religious Right's Lack Of Decency, Disrespect And Bad Behavior Alienates Most Americans

Washington, D.C. --- Did you hear about the new LGBT education policy guideline that was issued by the Obama administration on Friday? How could you not! It created a tidal wave of lies, misinformation, and propaganda from anti-gay right-wing extremists, who have reloaded and directed their hateful rhetoric straight at the transgender community.

Yesterday the U.S. Departments of Justice and Education released a letter that was sent to educators in every school district in each county and state in the country, to provide joint guidance to administrators related to transgender students. They hoped to ensure that every cisgender AND transgender student can attend school in an environment that’s both inclusive and free of discrimination based on sex.

Iconic broadcaster Larry King has covered and interviewed world leaders and politicians for over fifty years, and he's interviewed real estate developer Donald Trump countless times over the last thirty years. At some point during each encounter, King asks Trump if he's a Republican or Democrat. Most times the answer has been the same. “I’m a Republican,” he crows.

Trump admitted to openly flirting with being a Democrat in the nineties before he considered running for president with Jesse Ventura and the Reform party. He officially registered as a Republican in 2012, and some people question whether he is really a card carrying Republican. The last GOP presumptive nominee with a Democratic Party past was Ronald Wilson Reagan, our fortieth president.

Should a transgender girl be forced to use the men's room?

The answer is simple. NO WAY should any trans boy or girl or Corey Maison be forced to use any bathroom. A trans person should go to the bathroom that conforms with their gender identity whether young or old. That's humane and compassionate and the right thing to do.

Aria in F Major: Requiem For Senator Ted Cruz's Campaign

Four photos of Ted Cruz's face that are joined to form a square, and each photograph is colored differently to resemble a Warhol painting.

by Roy Steele

That candidate who's called Ted Cruz,
His jokes bad taste do not amuse,
All gloom and doom he does accuse,
New York west coast lib’ral values.

Disliked aloof he just can’t woo,
People of color and women who,
Want equal rights long overdue,
That’s who we are red white and true.

Bombastic crude with a short-fuse,
His schemes repeal the right to choose,
In interviews he says he'll screw,
The middle class that's me and you.

Fools the voters
With what's unsaid
He markets hate.
A man we can’t admire
That loves to set brushfires
A brain like a pismire
Who looks like a vampire.

With no friends in the U.S. Senate,
Can't get along he only upsets it,
Changed his name to Texas Ted,
He's north of the border born and bred.

Obamacare’s out the door,
Gut Medicare and fund more war,
Those right-wing views seem like a ruse,
And too extreme for evening news.

He’s all for guns and Fox snooze,
And personhood just to confuse,
He lies he sins he quotes the Bible,
Jesse Helms’ best disciple.

Fools the voters
With what's unsaid
He markets hate.
Calls his leader a liar
Says our country's on fire
Everything is dire
Unqualified town crier.

Rafael Edward Cruz,
Rebel rogue and bound to lose,
No Pennsylvania Avenue,
No Air Force One. No sip of cru.

Says the GAYS  are too taboo,
Pardon my French merci beaucoup,
His Princeton brain does misconstrue,
So out of touch he's got no clue.

So long au revoir we bid adieu,
False prophets burn in Texas too,
The Father Son and Holy Ghost,
The Donald dude will miss him most.

Fools the voters
With what's unsaid
He markets hate.
Class he can’t acquire
Liar pants on fire
Makes us all perspire
Political quagmire.

Bigots should retire.

It was toward the end of January that I first became aware of legislation introduced in the South Dakota House of Representatives to regulate who has access to restrooms and locker rooms. The law was specifically aimed at a small minority in the state and placed a target squarely on the back of the South Dakota transgender community.

South Dakota Politics And Me

I have more than a passing interest in South Dakota politics because my great-grandfather practiced law in South Dakota. Charles Tisdale Howard was appointed by President Benjamin Harrison to be the first South Dakota U.S. Attorney when the Dakota Territory became a state. He was very active in the Republican party and was later elected to the state Legislature and was Speaker of the South Dakota House.

The Media and GOP Establishment Don't Understand Donald Trump

Donald Trump is speaking before a large crowd at a rally in Las Vegas, Nevada.

by Roy Steele for Medium:

An excerpt:

When I think about candidates in past elections for president, I can safely say that the major party nominees on both sides (Republican and Democrat alike) were pretty decent people who we got to know over the course of their campaigns. Walter Mondale, Michael Dukakis, Bob Dole, Al Gore, John Kerry and John McCain had good intentions, and their hearts were in the right place. They exemplified civility, self-respect, dignity, experience, good manners and intelligence. Those old white men also had the right temperament to do the job. It was their policies and positions and lack of charisma that didn’t serve them well, and they all lost.
I’ve heard countless people on both sides of the political spectrum say that the 2016 Republican party candidates for president don’t have the personal and professional qualities that we expect a major party’s nominee to have. Many pundits whisper that they think all the GOP wannabe’s aren’t suitable for the job and won’t win the big contest. Others profess that they’ll sit out the general election entirely.
